NES Insulation for Impact Grant

We are excited to share an opportunity that could make a meaningful difference in the lives of older Nashvillians. The Mayor's Office of Sustainability and Resilience, in partnership with NES, TVA, and NeedLink Nashville, has launched Insulation for Impact, a grant-funded initiative designed to reduce energy use and costs through free attic insulation for eligible residents.

Applications are open until July 31, 2025, through NES’s website.

Who Can Apply?

  • Age: Applicants must be 60 years or older

  • Location: Homes must be served by NES

  • Income: Must meet household income requirements (details available on NES’s website)

  • Homeowners & Renters: Both may apply—renters must have written permission from the homeowner

  • Home Type: Primarily for single-family dwellings

What to Expect in the Process?

  1. Submit an Application: Apply between June 1 - July 31, 2025

  2. Home Energy Assessment: If eligible, you’ll receive a free home energy assessment to identify energy-saving opportunities

  3. Consideration Factors: Homes must meet basic structural and safety standards. Certain conditions—such as pest infestations, asbestos, or excessive clutter—may lead to disqualification
