Christmas Tree Decoration & Lighting 2025

The Historic Old Hickory Village Neighborhood Association invites you our community’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, December 6 at 5pm! As with years past, we will enjoy some hot chocolate around the gazebo while we count down to the tree’s first official lighting of the holiday season. Come mingle with neighbors, friends and family as we gear up for the holiday season in The Village. Lights will be turned on at approximately by 6pm.

Additionally, we will be carrying another new tradition over from last year! Join us at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, November 22 from 11am - 2pm to decorate the tree as a community. This year, participants can bring their own custom family ornaments from home as we make this tree a true representation of our community! Please note: you will not get these ornaments back.

If you would like to bring supplies like step ladders or tape, if you want to donate any unwanted decorations (like old ornaments or garland), or if the kids would like to make something to decorate the community’s tree, that would be greatly appreciated! We just ask that donated decorations are sustainable and can survive the weather. Click here to volunteer.
