2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey: Your Input Matters!
Submitted by the Mayor’s Office
The Nashville Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is excited to invite residents of Metro Nashville Davidson County to participate in the development of the 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan.
This essential plan aims to reduce the risks posed by natural disasters, communicable diseases, wildfires, manmade hazards and geological hazards like earthquakes, landslides and sinkholes. These events can potentially impact our lives and property every year. Your insights are invaluable, and we want to hear from you. Please respond by August 10!
To share your thoughts, please take a moment to complete our survey.
The survey is available in multiple languages to ensure that as many community members as possible can participate.
Natural disasters, including floods, tornadoes, and severe storms, pose significant risks to our community. In response, the OEM leads a comprehensive review and revision of the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan every five years, collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other stakeholders. This collaborative effort is crucial in identifying strategies to mitigate risks and enhance community resilience.
Every five years, this Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan must be revised and submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for approval. Your feedback will help shape the strategies we implement to protect our community from future disasters.
For those who prefer a language-specific survey, we have options available in Arabic, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Here are the links for each:
We encourage everyone to take part in this important initiative. Your voice matters, and together, we can build a safer, more resilient Nashville! Please Respond by August 10.
