Post-Ice Storm Emergency Resources

If you are still experiencing hardship from the January ice storm, you are able to request assistance from Nashville Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD). Please out the intake form, and note that response time takes up to 72 hours.

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Back-up power resources

  • Building and repair

  • Counseling

  • Debris removal

  • Emergency financial assistance

  • Food, water, and clothing

  • Housing/lodging

  • Medical and health services

  • Pet care

  • Translators

  • Transportation

  • Utility assistance

There are several volunteer and donation opportunities if you’re looking to get involved. Hands On Nashville still has plenty of volunteer opportunities you can find by searching “#winterstorm26”.

If you’d like to donate, VOAD, United Way of Greater Nashville, and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee have opened the Winter Storm Recovery Fund. Funds are being used for food, housing, supplies, and cleanup and debris removal. As of February 12th, they had already distributed $380,000 to nonprofits offering direct assistance.
