Several new businesses are opening in Old Hickory, and we continue to monitor proposed developments.

The Old Hickory community has provided feedback regarding the proposed dog park at the 12th Street Ball Field.

March’s neighborhood meeting hosted Brittany Irby, Director of the Office of Neighborhoods and Community Engagement. Irby is in the process of visiting every district in Davidson County.

AC Pullig-Gomez of Metro Parks Division of Planning and Special Projects has shared plans to revitalize green space outside of the Old Hickory Art Center, discussed a OHV dog park and more.

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County has shared that Solomon Builders has been awarded the contract for the new Old Hickory Community Center.

During our Feb. 13 meeting, Rachel Thomas, owner of the new Old Hickory Social (Old Rite Aid Building), came to chat about her new business coming to Old Hickory. Opening next month, Thomas mentioned her excitement about coming to Old Hickory and how her husband grew up in The Village!

A mailer with information about the Scenic View Rd traffic calming meeting has been sent and will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. The link to attend this virtual meeting is here.
