Thank you to all our neighbors who braved last week’s storms for the farmer’s market and community meeting! It’s already shaping up to be an incredible summer in Old Hickory, but we’re excited to see what the remainder of spring has in store.

Community Center & Dog Park updates

As we wait on a demolition timeline for the Community Center, Metro Parks has confirmed discussions with Metro Water regarding the three primary proposed dog park locations.

NDOT speaks on traffic calming opportunities

A community liaison from Nashville Department of Transportation spoke to the community about what qualifies a street for traffic calming and what the process looks like. Specifically, traffic calming on Hadley Avenue was discussed at length.

Volunteer opportunities at Rachel’s Walk

Neighbor and community volunteer Allison Jones is requesting assistance maintaining Rachel’s Walk Park. She’s done a tremendous job beautifying the space; see how you can help.

What to do with yard waste

Did you miss yard waste pickup last week!? If so, there’s fortunately at least two locations you can drop it off for free. Our closest drop-off location is on Elm Hill Pike.
